About Thinkplay Limited
According to Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood, the first construction brick systems with
the familiar top studs were from two British companies Premo Rubber (1930's), and then
Kiddicraft (1947). In the 50's a Danish inventor, who had seen the Kiddicraft bricks and liked
them patented one key improvement. The Dane's company became the marke leader for a generation. Premo Rubber was based near Petersfield England, and so is John Mott,
the inventor of the new Morphun Brick. John, who also invented and patented the
light shoe ( with the flashing heels), thinks that the market is ready for a new improved British brick. An award winning Morphun square brick can be described as both a
cousin of Duplo and a son of Mottik. Both Duplo and Morphun are grandchildren of
Minibricks. Mottik was also a British invention.
In Games and Toys of October 1962, C Spencer the marketing manager of Lego ltd says ' It is the combination of the studs with the tubes inside.... that is one of the fundamental reasons for our success. Morphun bricks follow and massively extend this very successful philosophy.
