Castlepoint County Council - the Borough of Castle Point, situated on the coastline of south-east Essex on the northern side of the Thames estuary, has an area of 17.3 square miles and a population of approximately 86,000 people. 20 minutes from the M25, with good links to London and Southend via the A13 and the A127, and with frequent train services on the London's Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness line.

Thurrock County Council - is a unitary local authority along the East Thames Corridor in the southeast of England. Thurrock has borders with Greater London to the west, the River Thames to the south, and the county of Essex to the north and east. Being both on the river and right next to London, Thurrock is served with excellent communication links. The M25 London Orbital Motorway, the high speed rail links leading to the Channel Tunnel; the local railway line providing direct access to Central London, the Port of Tilbury and the City of London Airport make Thurrock an important national and international centre.

About The County of Essex - Essex has an approximate admin population of 1,340,000 and total area population of 1,650,000 (2005). Essex is a county in the East of England. The county town is Chelmsford, and the highest point of the county is Chrishall Common near the village of Langley, close to the Hertfordshire border, which reaches 482 feet (147 metres). The area under the control of the county council, or shire county, is divided into a number of local government districts. They are Harlow, Epping Forest, Brentwood, Basildon, Castle Point, Rochford, Maldon, Chelmsford, Uttlesford, Braintree, Colchester and Tendring. Essex has boundaries to the east with the coastline of the North Sea; to the south with the northern bank, or estuary, of the River Thames and Kent; to the south west with Greater London; to the west with Hertfordshire across the River Lee and the Stort; to the north west with Cambridgeshire; and to the north with Suffolk, mostly marked by the River Stour.
