Brantwood John Ruskin - Ruskin first sat on the shores by Brantwood when he was 18, but it was in 1872, at the age of 53, that he bought the eight-roomed house and about six acres of land. Today you can visit Brantwood, the house is open to the public all year round.

Coniston First Responders - A scheme made up from volunteers who live, or work, within a community or village, and trained to attend certain emergency 999 calls by Cumbria Ambulance Service NHS Trust, to provide emergency first aid, until an ambulance arrives.

Coniston Mountain Rescue Team - Is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The team consists solely of local volunteers, all of whom undergo extensive training. The team is entirely funded by public donation. The Coniston team was founded in 1947 and was the first of its kind in Britain.

Coniston Water Festival - Instituted in the later half of the 19th century has continued with some breaks to the present day. The festival is a week long series of events centered on Coniston Water and the valley, with a boat dressing and water parade as one of the centre pieces of the festival.

Coniston WebCam - The image refreshes around 10 times each hour. Shows a view of the old Lakeland village of Coniston from the offices of The Coppermines & Coniston Cottages, showing St. Andrews Church, Barclays Bank, the Yewdale Hotel and down to the Crown Inn. Most of the buildings in Coniston are over 100 years old and open walks to the fells are 5 minutes away.
