The London Underground and Red Buses are the most famous forms of public transport in the capital. There are more ways of getting around as well, check out the Docklands Light Railway known as the DLR, by bike, famous black-cabs, go by coach, trams, overground rail and dial-a-ride services for disabled people. You can even go by water on the River Thames or use your feet on the street! But overall the tube and bus are most common and convernient forms of London transport.
London’s underground is referred to and known as "The Tube" and has 273 underground stations, each one marked with The Underground logo. London’s tubes run every day except Christmas day, starting at 05:30 am and ending around about midnight. It’s usually a good idea to check for service before setting off on your journey just to make sure maintenance is not in operation especially at weekends, major events are also worth looking out for!
